Kiss Me Not
Roses are red.
Violets are blue.
Please don’t kiss me.
I’ve got the flu.

AND HERE IS WHAT WE DID WITH THIS POEM :
As it is a short and easy one, I decided to use it as a warmer. Before the students came to the classroom, I wrote the poem on the board but not all of it.. I elicited the words ‘red- blue- flu’ from the students.
First we just read it together and then added some moves.. They were tired as they played in the snow 🙂 So it is not the best performance but still have a look..
Roses are red, Violets are blue.. Just before the Valentine’s Day, these kind of rhymes can be nice.. what you think?
And then as a writing homework, they were asked to write down the poem. Some of the students did it during the break and showed their work to me..
